Performing Media
From the videotheatre to the interaction design, Surveys of the anthropological transformations of the technological development.

Performing Media concerns the new cultural practices in which happening and networking are redenominated, according to the principle of combining policies and poetics of social interaction, trend of both theatre and networks.

Topics
1 - The artificial scene.
The performance system evolution in relation with the eletronic medium, beginnig from the videotheatre.
Survey based on the “Videotheatre Index” (DVD), a taxonomy of the scene - video and other repertoires relationship
2 - The interaction design.
Reappointing of the performance idea in relation with the interactive communication systems.
Hypermedial survey based on “E-Motion” (CD-Rom), an hypermedia concerning the interaction of both Bodies and Virtual -worlds. One of the main point is related to “The dramaturgy of the interactivity”, in other words the capacity to organize the spectator and the web or videogame navigator glance. Another topic is organizing interactive events able to understand the territory changes.
3 - The social networking.
Analysis of creating a community by the communication on line.
Research Action policy about the new forms of digital citizenship promoted by an inventive and participating approach.

Carlo Infante
Carlo Infante was born in Rome, lives in Turin and works as free lances both as journalist and as expert on theatre and new media. He works as cultural consultant and researcher on cultural trasformations releted to the digital evolution.
In 1997 he published "Educare on line " (IPM netbook), in 2000 "Imparare giocando. L'interattività tra teatro e ipermedia" (Bollati Boringhieri) , both about the new form of multimedia creativity in educational field, in 2004 "Performing Media. La nuova spettacolarità della comunicazione interattiva e mobile" (Novecento::libri), "Edutainment:imparare navigando" (COOP, 2004), "Performing Media 1.1 Politica e poetica delle reti" (Memori, 2006).
He teachs "Performing Media" at the University of Lecce, University of Udine, University of Macerata, at Accademia di Belle Arti in Macerata, at the Istituto Europeo del Design in Turin.
