GLOBALGROOVE

Globalgroove recycles images, texts and sounds from the mass-media production. The revised material is assembled together with original repertory in a cut up of craftwork practices and digital reworking, hovering between advertising glamour and apocalyptic horror. Globalgroove aims to produce absence with an counter directional act of strength, overshadowing the meaningless with nothing, the visible with appearance, the fake with illusion and evil with worse.

Globalgroove "Notes for the future"

In Pescara, for the fourth edition of the Peam, Globalgroove presents the installation Notes for the future (2006) , a video-triptych about the war, built through photographic sampling on the most famous war movies of all times. Battle's scenes, describing different epochs, costumes and environments, but tragically similar to each other in enacting war's rituals, are accompanied by a fascinating soundtrack.
